Pebbles grate time and again under my feet as I approach the old city of ancient Caesarea, the city of Herod.

There are well ordered stones of greater and smaller, vertical and horizontal columns, rows of buildings, ruins of houses everywhere, with some green shrubs, great and small palm trees, all of them paying tribute to the past. The stones send a message to everyone, no matter whether he or she`s worthy of receiving it or not. The white marble of a fragmentary statue casts a distinct shadow on the stones as if resuscitating them. It`s all that remains of a human being, no matter what it used to be before: a king or a shepherd. See! They meet in their beauty under the sacred heaven. I stop hesitantly at the entrance to the Roman amphitheatre. There were times when the beautiful holiness of a song as well as a death scream sounded here. All what I am appears to be just a tiny dot as I sit down in this vast space. You can overlook the sea from all directions. Quiet waves hit against the walls. Their sound is alternating between the soft music of violin and the cry of timpani. The sunshine forms a rich rainbow in the deep blue sea.

Words break forth from my lips, their far - reaching echo resounds and spreads along the stones. I give my abundant love to you, never - ending like pages in an old parchment book, a rare treasure, being admired by eyes and gently touched by hands, remaining eternal. Its light glides over and flies away suddenly, and a dew is dropping under the bending tree branch. The petals of the flower are unfolding like sweet words on my lips addressed to you. Its murmur is as soft as inexpressible thoughts. I`m gently touched and embraced by this silence. I`m still captured by this magic dream. Your face is being conjured up in the light of the setting sun. The heart always speaks the truth whereas words are insufficient to express it.

A touch and a voice - is it you, my sweetheart?
